Right side exhaust manifolds bolts rusted off causing exhaust gases to escape and causing check engine light to come on. Cannot get the vehicle state inspected with the check engine light on. Mechanic says it needs to be reapired to get vehicle inspected. The others look like they may be failing also. This is a big out of pocket expense since it is no longer under warranty.

2 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem of the 2005 Chevrolet C/k 2500

Failure Date: 06/05/2008

The engine started making a strange ticking noise. The dealer repaired/replaced the passenger side exhaust manifold/bolts under warranty. The driver side broke several months later out of warranty. Dealer repaired. Both sides broke again. You can smell exhaust gas in the vehicle when sitting in traffic.
