Chevrolet C/k 2500 owners have reported 2 problems related to service brakes (under the service brakes category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
On my 2002 silverado, the abs activates at low speeds causing brakes to pulse and increase stopping distance. Clearly NHTSA reference #05v379000 states that this only affects certain states. My vehicle falls into the manufacturer's recall date range as it was manufactured in August 2001. Chevrolet refuses to fix this issue under a recall and are telling me that they do not issue recalls that are state specific and that my vehicle does not qualify. Needing help getting this issue resolved.

We had just gotten to the bottom of a hill when we applied the brakes the pedal felt normal then instantly it went to the floor. We attempted to pump the brakes but the pedal was completely to the floor. When we finally were able to stop we jumped out and saw brake fluid puddle on the ground and all underneath the cab of the truck. After the fluid was gone there was absolutely no brakes to even panic stop. There is also extensive rust under the truck even though undercoating was applied in the factory.
