One problem related to transfer case has been reported for the 2003 Chevrolet C/k 3500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Transfer case failure due to faulty design. Oil pump in transfer case rubs a hole in the case and dumps all the lubricant on the highway. Then the case ends up destroying itself. Hundreds of these failures are occurring. Mine happened at 83,000 miles.
