One problem related to electric power assist steering system has been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet C/k Pickups. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Steering wheel position sensor: steering will jerk when driving straight. Was told that the sensor had a "worn" spot and that the power steering boost was being added at pull power because the system did not know what the steering wheel was doing.
