Two problems related to fuel pump have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet C/k Pickups. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Fuel pump in fuel tank.
1999 Chevrolet c/k pick -up fuel gauge suddenly drops to empty, usually just after filling the vehicle. Needed new fuel pump (vehicle only has 62,000 miles). Also happened on nieces 99 GMC denali at 3 years and 1 month (just after warranty ran out).
