Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problems of the 1999 Chevrolet C/k Pickups

Two problems related to manifold/header/muffler/tail pipe have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet C/k Pickups. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 06/15/2005

Exhaust manifold bolts are snapping off one by one. This is causing exhaust fumes to enter the cab of the truck making the driver sleepy or sick from the fumes. After talking to g. M mechanics a lot of the chevy 3/4 ton with 6. 0 motors are doing this. This is a bad safety issue. G. M denies there is a problem.

2 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2004

Rear bolt on exhaust heads broke causing leaks on both exhaust heads on 6 liter engine.
