One problem related to mechanical parking brake has been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet C/k Pickups. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The foot operated parking brake on c/k1500 pick-up truck with automatic transmission is located so far forward and towards drivers left leg that it is a hazard upon an accident. In an accident the drivers left leg is subject to injury from parking brake foot lever.
