One problem related to vehicle speed control has been reported for the 2000 Chevrolet C/k Pickups. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Due to the lack of acceleration contol vehicle brakes are under a strain when stopped at a traffic light. Vehicles rpms are exceeding out of control and consumer cannot control engines functions. If brakes were to fail could not stop vehicle. Bulletin no:00-06-04-007 from alldata date 02/2000 states problem and awareness from gm. Gm needs to recall vehicle due to safety issue. Models:1999-2000 Chevrolet and GMC c/k pick up models (silverado and sierra) with 4. 8l,5. 3l,or6. 0l v8 engine (vins v,t,u-rpos lr4. Lm7,lq4).
