5 Car Will Not Start problem

Failure Date: 07/19/2013

Originally, the key got stuck in the ignition of my 2008 Cobalt and the car wouldn't shut off. Mechanic disconnected battery and attempted to bypass tumbler mechanism. With a paper clip. He triggered the key release. Car started after that. However, on about the fifth or sixth try after that, the car failed to start and the key wouldn't turn the ignition switch. Car is stuck at work 50 miles from home and I will have to pay a small fortune to tow it to the shop near me. . . One that won't rob me blind, that is. Furthermore, I have great need of my wheels as I transport musical equipment to and from my concerts with this car, so I'm losing revenue here. As this has been a recurrent problem and gm already knows it is an issue, I request a recall and reimbursement for this problem, including the towing fee. Thanks in advance, gm. Regards, an avid, but currently downhearted, non-running chevy owner.

6 Car Will Not Start problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2011

My 2008 chevy Cobalt just started giving me problems April 2, 2011. I purchased it on March 15, 2011. I went to leave work and my car wouldn't start. All my elecrical components shut down on me and my key wouldn't come out the ignition. When I turned the switch it just made a clicking noice. So I just sat there trying to figure out what was wrong. So I walked away trying to get help. When I returned the radio was on and the car just started right up. Also it doesn't pick up speed on the highway. At 65mph it seems as if I'm just barely moving. I feel as though this is an inconvience to me because I have to sit and wonder if my car is gonna start everytime I turn the swich. It has occurred several times in one day and I haven't even had my car for a month. I am highly upset.
