Three problems related to fuel injection have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Corsica. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
On three occasions the fuel injector system failed causing engine to decelerate from 60 mph to 25 mph resulting in loss of control which almost caused collision. However there is a technical service bulletin number 77-63-04 for 1994-1998 vehicles describing the same failure.
Air flow sensor to engine was said to have been damaged when air filters were changed by mechanics costing 365. 00 to replace. This causes acceloration problems that may cause accidents since it happens randomly and you have no power to accelerate.
On three occasions vehicle experienced failure of the fuel injector system, on one occasion the fuel injector system locked-up almost causing a collision, however consumer received service bulletin 77-63-04, which has the same failures.
