Two problems related to automatic transmission have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Corvette. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer was traveling about 70mph on highway without prior warning and vehicle decelerated to 20mph. He was able to pulll over to shoulder s to prevent an accident dealership mechanic told consumer that vehicle went into leap mode to protect engine. Problem is still exists.
Dealer contacted twice, nothing done. . Letter to gm, told to go back to dealer. No safety defect mentioned in summary.
