Two problems related to engine exhaust system have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Corvette. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Failure of exaust system at welds on flanges.
The left side of the exhaust at the flange is also ready to break. When the exhaust breaks, the exhaust pipe strikes the rear axle and the muffler drops down and could fly out the back of the vehicle at a freeway speed.
