Four problems related to front seat power adjust have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Corvette. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Electric motor for the passenger seat turned hot enough to blister my finger. No one was working the switches. Took off on it's own. Very close to a fire hazard. The car was not running at the time. Ignition was off.
Both driver and passenger seats have about an inch of movement (front to back) when stopping and accelerating. 1998 c5 Corvette 50000 miles.
Automatic (memory) seat module failed causing the seat to travel all the way forward pinning driver inside.
Driver seat automatically traversed all the way forward pinning the consumer against the steering wheel. All of the controls died.
