Power Steering Light On problems of the 2000 Chevrolet Corvette

Tl-the contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the steering wheel seized as the service steering column lock light illuminated. As a result, the vehicle was towed to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the body control module needed to be replaced. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was previously repaired under recall NHTSA campaign number: 04v060000 (steering). The manufacturer has not been made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 41,000. The VIN was not available. Pam.

These c5 Corvettes had a gm recall for the steering column locking up on it. I had the recall done. My car still has a steering column issue with it. The service steering column warning lights still come on intermittently and when they do, the car disables itself and will not go over 2 mph and shuts the fuel pump off. I installed another temp fix called an lmc5 for it. I still get the pull key wait 10 seconds warning lights and service steering column. Gm did a temp fix and never fixed it. When driving the car it will shut itself off because of the steering column warning. The 97-2004 need many recalls not just this one. I am filling out another incident report on it after this one.
