This car has burned several quarts of oil since I've owned it. It burns approximately 1 to 1 1/2 quarts every one thousand miles. The dealership said the 2001 Corvettes all have this problem because of bad piston rings. They siad some cars consume as much as 3 quarts of oil per 1000 miles. The amount of oil burned is relative to how hard the car is driven. There are know replacement parts available at this time. I think the whole engine shopuld be replaced along with the oil soaked catalitic converter and mufflers.
