I just noticed the posting about the fuel leaks in 2004 Corvettes. I have been noticing a strong fuel smell in my garage after driving my Corvette. The smell subsides after a day or two, and no evidence of leaks can be seen under the car. Perhaps there should be a recall to have these checked out.

Smell of fuel inside the house after parking my Corvette in the attached garage about 3 hours after returning home. Upon investigating the source of the odor, discovered pool of gas dripping underneath car on the drivers side. Concerned gas could ignite from hot exhaust, spark, or discarded cigarette from some other motorist.

Fuel leak in crossover pipe was discovered after strong fumes in car and gas leaking under car. This has happened on my car plus one other of the same model year and purchased at the same time. .

After gasoline was placed in the vehicle and it had been parked for a while, the contact noticed that all of the fuel was leaking underneath the driver's side of the vehicle. The dealer stated that the fuel level sensor was the cause of the failure.
