Purchase a 2005 Corvette in 2008. Shortly after ac didn't work after working fine just moments. Drove car for a half a mile or so and heard a clunking sound. Pulled over and raised hood but didn't notice anything. Ac still not working but car is not a daily driver and winter was approaching so not too concern. 2009 this year decided to get ac checked for the summer. . . . . The ac clutch was missing. Hindsite the clunking sound I heard a year ago was the ac clutch falling off! unacceptable for any car.
