When pressing in the clutch to come to a complete stop the clutch peddle remained on the floor and I had to hold down hard on the break peddle to stop and stall the engine. The car was in gear and after stopping I was able to shift into natural (six speed manual transmission). I was grateful this occurred at a low rate of speed and no traffic behind me. I can only imagine what could of happen if the failure occurred while in traffic at a higher rate of speed. The car was towed to a chevy dealer and the service technician said the clutch master cylinder internal seal was ruptured and needs to be replaced. He also indicated that the slave cylinder may also need to be replaced. This car has less than 12,000 miles.
