Catastrophic abs system failure. While traveling about 30 mph on dry pavement, the tail end of the car suddenly fishtailed left then right, turning around 180 degrees, totally out of control. The right rear wheel struck the curb of the median, severely bending the right rear wheel, and damaging the right rear wheel bearing too. Upon examination of the electronic brake control module and main engine harness plug that connects to it, I found massive electrical damage with a hole burned completely through the plug and receptacle, and printed circuit board of the electronic brake control module. The entire abs pump assembly and ebcm had to be replaced and a new plug spliced into the main engine harness. I notified gm but they refused to stand behind the product or help with the repair.
