general problems of the 2010 Chevrolet Corvette

Purchased 3 weeks ago. Third time filling up and first time in the garage. Noticed the fuel tank is leaking at the pump due to defective plastic. Car only has 55k miles, this should not be an issue. Is chevy going to fix this or am I out the 2k repair bill?.

The fuel tank is leaking at the pump due to defective plastic. There should be a lot of reports of this happening on this vehicle and it is more dangerous than any other defect I have ever heard of.

Have a strong odor of gasoline coming from vehicle parked in garage. Have not noticed any gasoline in the garage floor, only the strong odor.

After filling up my gas tank in my 2010 Chevrolet Corvette I notice a strong gas smell that permeates through my entire garage and house. Upon investigation from an auto repair shop it has been determined I need to replace a faulty cracked fuel pump. Upon further investigation it seems there was a "special coverage adjustment" from gm for this repair only for up to 120k miles. This should be a recall!!! as it is a very dangerous situation! so because I am over 120k , (just purchased from dealer) I am responsible for the 3k repair? that is 100% not acceptable. 15682 primary tank module flange fuel and vapor leaks copyright 2016 general motors. Upon filling the car to a full tank that is a strong gas smell that permeates the cab. This smell is persistent even while driving with the convertible top down. People driving behind me were are able to smell the gasoline vapors. The vapors and smell subside once I get below 3/4 tank of gas.

Seems to be a common issue and gm has a TSB for it but they only covered the repare for 10 years and 120k I am at 11 with 70k miles. The fuel is leaking from the top of the tank and could cause a fire.

My 2010 Chevrolett grand sport has developed a very strong odor of gasoline. Both when parked in garage and while driving. It’s obviously leaking gasoline somewhere which could result in a fire or death.

Strong gas smell when car gets filled up. Then after I go out of the gas station car accelerates by itself after stopping and engine stops. After turning the car on again very strong gas smell. This will go on after some of the gas is wasted.

Bought 2010 Corvette on 4/29/2020 out of town. Last 2 days have had strong gas smell in garage. Saw online about an issue and possible recall?.

After fueling and for at least 100 miles afterward there is a distinct gasoline smell inside the car and in the garage. No leakage noticed under the car. Took it to a Chevrolet dealer who performed the smoke test which it failed. They replaced the pump and sending unit at no charge. This offer from Chevrolet expires after 10 years or 120000 miles currently. This remediation should be a recall or a permanent technical solution for any Corvette of this model that experiences this increasingly serious problem, no matter when it occurs.

Have a strong fuel odor after driving the car. Garage is inundated with fuel smell and I have to open the garage door and use a floor fan to ventilate it to make it habitable. Suspect a fuel leak.

When you put gasoline in the car the smell in the drivers compartment is almost unbearable. It is worse once you start driving.

Fuel / gas smell . . . No leaks detected. Most apparent when vehicle is stationary or garaged. Vehichle can not be garaged due to excessive gas smell and possible explosion caused by gas vapors coming from vehicle.
