Just recently I noticed that the leather on my dashboard has started to become unglued. My concern is 1) this is a defect that is common to not only c6 Corvette modes (mine) but to c7 (google it on the internet) and some c8 models (information from service manager at tasca Corvette in wheeling, illinois when he inspected my vehicle yesterday), 2) since there is an airbag in this location what affect will the loose dashboard leather have on the deployment of the airbag(s) thus becoming a safety issue.
Twice this month I filled up my gas tank and both times I can smell the gas fumes in my car and when parked in garage, it smells really bad of gas fumes.
Center console on 2013 Corvette grand sport grand gets very hot when driving more than half hour.
After driving the car for a relatively short period of time (30 to 60 minutes), the center console area is extremely hot to the touch. I would only be guessing at the temperature of the console when it is so hot, but it gets so uncomfortably hot, that I cannot keep my hand on it for more than just a few seconds!.
