The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, upon inspection of the engine compartment, the contact became aware of a fuel leak; however, the location of the leak was unknown. The contact was made aware of Chevrolet special coverage program: 17469 (cracks on the top surface of fuel tank fuel pump module); however, the extended warranty coverage had expired before the repair performed. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired because the warranty had expired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.
