The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while the vehicle was on a trailer dynamometer machine, a plastic piece at the bottom of the accelerator pedal fractured. The accelerator pedal slid up and became stuck in the full-throttle position and had to be manually returned to the normal position. The contact stated the engine overheated, and the stop button failed to turn off the vehicle. The abs and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed back to the residence. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
