The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the rims were inspected, and the contact became aware that the rims were cracked in five locations. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 70 mph, the vehicle was shaking and vibrating abnormally. The vehicle was diagnosed by a dealer; however, the vehicle was not repaired, and the rims were not replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 38,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that he became aware that the passenger’s side rear tire was lower than usual. The contact inflated the tire however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to be repaired and the contact was notified that the rim was cracked. The rim was not replaced. The contact was unable to reach a representative with the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 15,042. The VIN was not available.

The contact stated that after driving the vehicle and driving slowly over a speed bump; after exiting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the two rear rims were cracked. Failure Date: 07/01/2021

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that the four tires were replaced. After the tires were replaced, the tire pressure warning light illuminated. The tires were inspected, and the contact noticed that the passenger’s side rear tire was leaking air. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for inspection. The dealer found that the passenger’s side rear wheel was fractured. The contact was informed that the wheel might have struck an object causing the failure. 8 Wheel Rim problem

Failure Date: 03/08/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. While driving 70 mph, the rear driver's side tire shredded due to a crack in the rim. The vehicle was sold to the contact in February and the dealer (gray Chevrolet, 1245 n 9th st, stroudsburg, PA 18360, (866) 505-3058) stated that this type of Chevrolet rim would crack in cold weather. The vehicle was taken to gray Chevrolet (1245 n 9th st, stroudsburg, PA 18360, (866) 505-3058) where it was diagnosed that a new rim was needed. The rear driver's side rim was removed and a new one was replaced; however, after receiving the new rim, the other three rims also cracked. All four rims were replaced in March of 2018. A few months ago, the contact struck a pothole and the front driver's side rim cracked. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated that all four rims needed to be replaced again. The tires were replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 780.

9 Wheel Rim problem

Failure Date: 06/06/2018

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that the passenger's side rear wheel was fractured. The contact became aware of the failure when the tire started to losing air. The vehicle was taken to vandevere Chevrolet (1490 vernon odom blvd, akron, OH 44320) where the wheel was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 4,000.

10 Wheel Rim problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that the tires loss air due to rims being fractured. The vehicle was taken to new rochelle Chevrolet (291 main st, new rochelle, NY 10801 (914)303-6017) and the wheels were replaced three times. The contact learned of a lawsuit regarding the same failure, as well as finding that the parts were made from a cast material. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to purchase additional warranty to address the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.
