When the vehicle is in drive and stopped either at a red light or stopping to make a turn the vehicle feels like it's moving forward (lunging forward) this occurs when the break is completely pressed down and the car is in drive. The rpm gage will flicker up and down as this is occurring. I have taking it to the dealer ship and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with my car. I feel this car is unsafe to drive because it might cause an accident one day. When it does this and im stopped at a red light I will have to put the car in neutral or park to get it to stop doing this. It doesn't happen all the time when im driving but it's occurring more commonly.
Almost from the day I leased my manual Cruze I had engine dying problems. It happens when I downshift into second gear, when I stop and when I stop suddenly. It happens perhaps a few times a week. The dealership service dept. Tested the car and found nothing wrong. It was suggested, tactfully, that perhaps I wasn't shifting correctly. I am almost 66 years old I learned to drive a car on a three-the-tree Ford. I have owned only one automatic car in my life, and that was for four years. I really don't think I am to blame. As the gm ignition switch came to light I began to wonder. Over the past few weeks gm has expanded its recall into more recent model years. To me, it is simply the gm culture when it comes to building cars. The same mentality about using bad parts was probably passed on the 2013 models.
