Unknown- 2015 chevy Cruze - the regulators in the automatic windows keep breaking- I have replaced regulators 3 times- and the two front windows will not go up or down now-I just fixed the passengers side window about a month ago and its broken again. - the clock does not keep time correctly- had a coolant leak twice - and the tires seem to lose tread pretty quickly- replaced tires a few years ago- does not have very good traction control- very difficult to see with glares no matter if its freshly cleaned-nothing but problems with this car- I usually love my chevy's but this car is a lemon- as soon as I paid it off all this started happening- and I can't afford another car at this point.
The windshield wiper transmission failed on my ‘15 Cruze in the middle of a rain storm caused my hurricane ida. The problem has been confirmed by my husband who is a mechanic at a Chevrolet dealership. No warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem were present prior to the onset of the problem. It had been raining a lot due to hurricane ida, the last time I used my wipers they worked fine. When it started raining again I tried to cut my wipers on and only my driver side wiper worked. My passenger side wiper stayed in its downward resting position and did not move or make any noises.
I was driving to work, on I-95, and it was raining hard enough for me to have my wipers moving constantly. Out of nowhere, the driver side wiper just stopped working. It went up, but it never came back down.
The wiper transmission broke on the driver's side. I can look through the plastic shield and see if has came apart. I have no drivers wiper function no more. I see online this is a common problem with Cruzes. The car only has 54k on it. I now have to pay a $100 deductible on my extended warranty. This should never have gone bad this soon and should be covered by gm. Its a safetly hazard not having a wiper in raining weather which itas been raining for days lately.
When the driver side wiper is in motion the arm reaches too far to the left and get stuck or arm connection under the windshield that look like a ball in socket dislocates when driving in the rain. Causing poor visibility.
One of the windshield wipers stopped working. It moves up a 1/2 inch then moves back down. Won't go any higher than that. Happed out of nowhere and the other works perfectly fine. It looks like a bolt or something is loose.
Heavy rain last 2 days. . Turned on wipers and the driver side wiper failed to complete its course, causing the passenger side wipe to "run over" the driver side one. The passenger side wiper then became entangled with the "stuck" driver side wiper and actually caused it to flip up and over, thus rendering both wipers useless and me unable to see where I was driving during a heavy rainy / foggy night! I managed to pull into a plaza safely to flip my passenger side back to its proper position. When I checked the driver side wiper the complete arm that attached to the motor was loose and it would not stay in the correct "starting / finishing" positions and I could push/pull it up and down into different positions but after one wipe it would bottom out on the bottom of my windshield/cowl back into the incorrect position where it interferes with the passenger side wiper. This is a very serious safety concern as I could not see where I was going and now my wipers are useless because even if I use it for a single wipe it gets ass tangled up. See the attached image of the passenger wiper that is flipped upside down from normal use during heavy rain! I used to install these wiper assembly at gm and I know for a fact that this one is not torqued to specs because I can move it by hand! and the wiper blades are likely eaten up now too from cleaning on and off the glass, onto to cowl and over top each other. Not to mention the bolt that attaches it to the motor is likely stripped up now from the free spinning movements. . . .
