1 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 07/23/2023

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle hesitated and was slow to accelerate. The stability tract control warning light was illuminated. The contact had difficulty while driving up a hill. There was an abnormal popping noise detected. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel injector needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the coil pack , turbo boost, spark plugs, oil change, abs, brake booster, and air flow sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred.   the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed her the failure was due to the low turbo boost. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 138,000.

2 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 12/29/2019

Vehicle was in motion going approx 35 mph uphill on residential road when it started vibrating and "service stabilitrak" light came on. Pulled over into gas station and shut car off. Sat for 2 minutes before turning back on. Service stabilitrak light remained on with some vibration. Merged onto highway and attempted to reach the speed limit of 65 mph. Cruze would not allow me to accelerate above 60 mph. Service breaks light came on and then got an alert stating that power steering had failed. Car basically shut itself down and I had trouble getting it to fully turn off. Steam/smoke then began coming out from under the hood and liquid from the car was all over the road. Towed to chevy dealer where they discovered a hole in the engine block, otherwise known as a catastrophic failure. Car had 27k miles on it at the time. It was an extremely scary and dangerous ordeal.

3 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 12/17/2018

I have been experiencing loss of power steering upon vehicle startup, which has at times persisted into the beginning of my drive. A stabilitrak warning is displayed on the driver information center indicating an issue with the electric power steering. There is a definite physical loss of power steering that recovers within a minute. This message and loss of power steering seems to occur during cold and wet/rainy conditions where temperatures are estimated below 40 f. The whole electric power steering rack assembly was replaced under waranty in q1 2018, but did not fix the root cause. At that time, the dealer was able to locate diagnostic codes, but in two subsequent visits for the same issue, the dealer has been able to solve this issue. It is ponderous that the dealer has insisted that a stabilitrak message warning of loss of power steering does not register in any of the computer systems. How can this be true?.

4 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2018

The steering started moving up and in a locked position now the steering wheel and column will come only to your knees. I almost crashed the car when putting on the brakes because the steering wheel goes to the left. Not syre if the air bag will go off as needed. Steering wheel when putting on the brake sends car moving to the left. The steering wheel is able to control it can be moved by just a little movement of your hand.

5 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2017

The car is only a couple months old and the stabilitrak system light came on asking me to service it im taking to the dealership tommorrow. But im scared to drive it cause itsswaying left to right cause of the stabilitrak I guess but this didnt strt happening until it rained the other day and every time I turn the car on the the lights dim and flicker and acts like it wants to cut off n when I drop my speed down to 40 it acts like it wants to cut off.
