Seats Problems of Chevrolet Cruze

The Cruze has always been slow to accelerate which made passing a problem. In may 2025 we were driving on I-94 in detroit and the engine light came on the dashboard. We were able to drive the car without populsion to lansing, a distance of 90 miles. Feldman chevorolet said the code for the light was engine turbo-charger. That's a $3k repair. We have no choice but to drive the car.

In a rear end collision to my Chevrolet Cruze my driver seat back broke on the left side causing my torso to twist in the accident. This caused disc protrusions in my lumbar and thoracic spine. Vehicle was totaled.

I was driving down the road when my son said he smelled something and made pull over. There were what I thought were small flames on the floor so I dumped my water on them, then I realized the seat itself was melting and dripping stuff on the floor. Then the seat went up. Very shortly after that the car was completely engulfed and is now a total loss.

The seat will not move forward. Being that it is an electric motor, it has become increasingly difficult to reach the pedals, especially the brakes.

I purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze rs premier hatchback from mastria kia in raynham, MA in January 2023 and it was missing the rear seat headrests (they were neither installed in their oem position or in the car upon delivery). I would like to know if this is a violation of NHTSA regulations. To date, they have been unwilling to provide the proper headrests as installed by the original equipment manufacturer. Thank you.

Passinger front seat is jammed and can not be moved forward or backward.

Fluid leak when riding for along period on interstate under dash where braking is.

Tl-the contact 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact stated that when she bought the car the vehicle had electrical issues and was cutting on and off. The brakes were skipping. And would come to jerking stop. These issues occurred while she test drove the vehicle. The dealer premier car sales llc 5425 elvis presley blvd, memphis, TN 38116 (901) 800 stated he was going to fix these issues before the vehicle sale was final. The dealer claimed he took the car to Chevrolet for the repairs. The brake issues recurred and the contact went back to the dealer and he said to take the vehicle to Chevrolet for repairs since it was under warranty. Before the contact could get to Chevrolet she got into a crash. While making a left hand turn in the rain vehicle cut off and slide into the side of the curve. The axles , rotar and the spindle and rims were broken. The vehicle was towed to her home. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to Chevrolet and they stated that were no recalls but performed a diagnostic test to confirm the repairs. They then referred the contact to general motors. The contact bought new rotars, a new spindle and rims and had them replaced by and independent mechanic. General motors refused to investigate the vehicle because the contact had repairs done before they could investigate the vehicle. The brakes are still malfunctioning and this time. The failure mileage was 36,000. Tf.

After I adjust my seat back support and release the lever. It will still pop back like it was never locked in position and the whole seat seems like it leans to the right.

I was involved in a rear-end collision pushing me into another vehicle on 06-06-18. The headliner and drivers seat began to smoke, filling the car. The smoke was white, grey, and smelled of sulphur. In addition, the "service airbag" light appeared on the information display, the flashers/hazards, came on automatically, and the car would not start and had to be towed. I have purchased this vehicle used in July of 2015 from the Chevrolet schumacher dealership located in north palm beach, florida I currently have 61,939mi. My last oil change was in 12/2016 and is due at 64,000mi. To date I have had numerouse issues with this vehicle from installing new spark plugs, brakes that sound like an amtrak train, and now my engine light comes on and my bumper-to-bumper warranty is already expired at like 33,000mi. So now I fall under the power train warranty which covers your engine and transmission. However I am not sure what is causing my engine light to come on, I really dont want to pay $160. 00 for a diagnostic test and then have to pay on top of that $800 for an issue with my engine. I shouldn't be having these problems especially since it will mark my 2 year anniversary having this vehicle in July 2017. I am very displeased right now and would like this issue to be investigated and that someone from this government agency contact the dealer located in north palm beach so they can find out what exactly is wrong with my car. Something like this should happen to cars that are 5 years old not 1 1/2 years old.

The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17v057000 (seats); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. The manufacturer was notified. Parts distribution disconnect.

October 12 2016 my chevy Cruze was hit by a peterbilt 375 dump truck in two place the driver side rear wheel and driver and passeger door speed was just over 20 mile per hour increasing because the mack truck bulldoze me up the road my airbags did not deploy and my seat belt did not tighten up. I complained in 2015 August about the fuel injection not allowing the car to accelerate when I suppress the gas pedal to the floor my car just did not move for about 5 seconds then surged violently. Wentworth Chevrolet and gm customer care center conducted a product safety check on my anti locking/airbags/ and fuel injection releasing the car 15 days later stating the vehicle had not problem then 10/12/2016 happened. I believe gm and wentworth allowed a compromised and broken vehicle back out on the road endangering my life acting with reckless negligence and complete lack of ownership and responsibility.

Car was hit on back drivers door and wheel well, it pushed the back bottom seat in. Car spun three times in the rain and none of the 10 air bags deployed. I hit my head on the side drivers window 3 times due to side seat air bags not deploying. Gm came out while car was in auto shop put some machine on it to address my ? why air bags did not deploy when it was hit hard enough to push car frame in and spin whole car three times. They told body shop that it was hit in such a way the two seat air bags were not sensored. I have not felt safe in car since. Car was on a rual street when hit at about speed of 40 mile an hour. I took my car to the kaspar dealer and sandusky, OH and was told the passenger airbag sensor was bad and the repair costs would be 800. 00. This is odd because at least 95% of the time no one sits in that seat. This car is not our family car. It is strictly for me to use for work. This seems to me more likely to be a defect than something I should be at fault for.

Front passenger air bag "off light" comes on intermittently on my 2011 Cruze when an adult is sitting in the front passenger seat -- indicating the air bag system is off. I've taken it to my gm dealership twice and both times they say that everything checks out ok and there is nothing they can do. The car air bags have never been deployed. There is a flaw with this safety system and gm should step forward and come up with a fix.

Drivers seat loose. It rocks when turning hard into a corner.

The drivers side heated seat stopped working at about 20,000 miles! was told it would be $800. 00 to repair! I have m. S. And that was the main reason I bought a car with heated seats!.

2011 chevy Cruze seat adjust control on driver's side will cause severe pinching/crushing of fingers on left hand if you lower the seat to its lowest position using the electronic control on the lower left side of the seat without keeping all fingers above the control. It is a fairly natural grip to rest the thumb on the top of the control and lightly grasp the bottom of the plastic seat skirt to push the control switch down. This grip will cause the fingers to be pinned between the seat skirt and the seat base.
