Water Pump problems of the 2006 Chevrolet Equinox

1 Water Pump problem

Failure Date: 03/06/2019

Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that myst from the heater blew into the vehicle. The control panel lights illuminate and the myst coming from the vents made an abnormal engine smell and is a hazard and the contact can't see out of the window. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic's garage. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and a new water pump was needed, the mechanic flushed out the system and placed a new heat system in the engine with new anti freeze. Later on that week the repair failed again. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 167,000. Jw.

2 Water Pump problem

Failure Date: 12/19/2014

Equinox overheated. We immediately replaced the thermostat and water pump. Did not fix the problem. The Equinox is currently in the shop, the tests showed the Equinox has two cracked heads.

3 Water Pump problem

Failure Date: 12/15/2013

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that the water pump failed. The water pump was repaired but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to an authorized dealer, who then advised that the head gasket would need replacing. The vehicle was not further repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000.
