Engine Knocking Noise problems of the 2014 Chevrolet Equinox

Was driving the vehicle, started hearing knocking sound and within minutes a loud bang and the car came to a halt. Got out and checked under the hood and all the oil in the vehicle drained onto the ground.

Due to it happening to me and from what I have seen researching now my cars engine was blown due to the lack of oil and this particular engine is prone to have an excessive consumption of oil. I was driving the car and started hearing a knocking sound I parked the car. Took the plastic stuff off the top and found no oil in my engine after having a oil change not to long ago. So I had to get my car towed and I still owe on the car.

My car has been having problems starting. The roadside asst person told me I needed a new battery. I got the battery. I got the new battery it was ok after a week. So I took it to my machanic and he told me that the motor was no good. I need my car cause I go to chemo. The next day it happened again I was hearing a knocking sound.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer stated that there were no open recalls on the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
