Tl-the contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while driving approximately35 mph, the vehicle lost acceleration, brakes and the steering ability for approximately three seconds ( but was still idle ), no warning indicatoirs illuminated. The contact also stated that the failure occurred in two other occasions in one and a half week. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 47,000. Bp.
While driving, at 55mph my check engine light came on without warning and the dash showed "service stabilitrak" and the vehicle suddenly reduced speed to around 30mph before I could apply the gas. I immediately too the vehicle to monro muffler and brake for service. When I arrived, I was informed that the vehicle had no oil. I performed regular oil changes on this vehicle. There was no indication about low oil pressure, the vehicle did not overheat. The engine now needs to be replaced.
Vehicle was parked,started fine backed up out of space. When pulling forward the warning busser came on and display read stabil track. Pulled to side of road and turned off engine after 2min. I restarted engine, the warning stayed on. Drove about 3 miles to dealership,was told to drive it as appt not availble till tues. Engine slowed down could only get to 35mph. After another 5miles it started working so we were able to get home. I have done all required mateniace have 69,000 miles on it, now. If this is a major problem when I reach this milage, what is my recourse?.
Radio screen goes on and off by its self and back up camera won't come on in reverse and car starts on it own with doors lock and no keys in it don't have self start button on key.

The warning message " service stabili trak" appeared on the dash panel. The contact took the vehicle bergey's Buick GMC(446 harleysville pike, souderton, PA 18964) where the vehicle was diagnosed with an wiring issue. The vehicle was repaired. However, the failure reoccured. The contact then took the vehicle to flemington Buick GMC Cadillac(211 us-202, flemington, NJ 08822) where the contact is not sure if an diagnostic was ran. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. Case was filed. However, no assistance offered. The failure mileage was 36000.
Drove car 10 miles, then took a left turn and everything shut off and wheel locked. No power or any warning signs of a break down. Restarted car and was able to drive again. Took in for a check up and they were not able to �recreate the instance�.
