The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 60mph, the brakes failed to operate causing her to strike the vehicle in front of her. The entire front of the vehicle was damaged. The contact stated that the vehicle was still in motion after the crash, he had to jump out of the vehicle and manually steer the vehicle to the side of the road where it finally came to a stop. All the air bags in the vehicle deployed. The contact mentioned the automatic brakes system failed to independently stop the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated.
