The vehicle shakes at speeds starting at 68 mph and is extreme at 73 mph. I have taken it in for repairs at the Chevrolet dealership twice and to a tire shop. I fear this could be the start of the term known as the "death wobble". Chevrolet is aware of this issue and have issued technical service bulletins relating to shake and vibration complaints. This is a brand new 2025 vehicle. Because this vibration/shake occurs it highway speeds a mechanical failure could cause serious injury or death. I have contacted the manufacturer and they do not wish to address the issues with this vehicle.

An ase/aaa certified mechanic installed a passenger car rated tire on the vehicle, inflated to 36 psi. The plate on the vehicle is for an e rated tire (lt245/75r16e 80 psi). The tires installed were dot r88y 25br0418 (ohtsu p245/75r16). When originally challenged, the shop attempted to have me keep the tire on the vehicle. After complaining through aaa the tire shop accepted return on the tires. As I was required to wait for some time to get the original shop to accept return I went to another shop to have the p tires replaced with lt e-rate tires. At another shop (a nation chain retail center) I was offered for sale c-rate tires. Now that the Ford explorer / firestone recall is now a fading memory, I am concerned that multiple tire shops offered for sale under rated tires for my vehicle.

2005 Chevrolet Express 3500. Parking brake cable on rear, drivers side, rubbing against side of tire. Tire rubs down until it breaks. Tire was totally shredded but I was able to slow and steer to side of road. New tire put on but they did not see the cable in the way or rubbing! I only saw it because I was looking under the car for a new metallic clanking noise (that is something else). My new tire was almost rubbed through after only 3 weeks. I pulled the cable way back into its retainer but the retainer is about 1. 5 square inches and the cable is only 1/8 in so is not firmly held in place (only by some friction). If you have a chevy express, check your cable and tire.
