Vehicle will stall and we will crash or be hit by some one. When the vehicle stalls you loose all power that is power steering,brakes,the ability to maintain control of my vehicle . It began with my key getting stuck in the ignition,would have to try to place in park multiple times to release the key. Found the panel in the steering column and the release button to remove key. Now the gear shift button is stuck in the pressed position, making the car vulnerable to coming out of gear. This is extremely unsafe and costly to fix. Additional personal research has indicated this is a common & known issue with the manufacturer.

I only drive the car when it's absolutely necessary and only within city limit. I just need gm to fix the problem at no extra cost to me. I have suffered enough already.

2006 chevy Hhr stalls when potholes/bumps are hit in the road. Car has stalled three times on major highways in the past six months. The first time the car stalled back in June 2009, I took the car to a chevorlet dealer to have the car checked out and they could not determine why the car stalled. The most recent incident happened on Tuesday night October 13, 2009. I hit a pothole in the road my car stalled without warning. Lucky for me there was no trucks or cars behind me because there was no shoulder on the road. At this point, I am nervous and anxious when I drive my car.

Suddenly, the traction control disengaged without assistance. There was no response when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle began to idle excessively and surged unexpectedly.
