Wheel problem #1

Heading home , going over the bridge @ 20mph from the nationals field going south bound heading towards south capital exit. Traveling on the right side of the road , I approached and drove over the metal sewer drainage that’s not properly in the ground leveled which caused damage to my vehicles suspension. Immediately after the impact , I started hearing a strange noise as well as when I moved the steering wheel. I took my vehicle to sears auto center on 7/01/21to be evaluated and explained the incident. I couldn’t avoid the drainage due to another vehicle was on the left side of the road . I had to pay $1,111. 92 out of my pocket and would like my money back. This drainage isn’t in the ground properly which caused the problem to my vehicle. Is unavoidable especially if there’s an vehicle directly across from you.

Wheel problem #2

If my battery runs down the tpms system loses programming and has to be taken to a dealer to be reflashed costing over $100. If someone driving the car does not notice a low tire it could lead to an accident.

Wheel problem #3

The power steering light came on and the car became very difficult to steer as I was driving out of a business parking lot. I pulled to the side and turned off the car. I restarted the car and it the power steering light stayed off and the power steering worked again. I cautiously drove home. The car is a 2007 Chevrolet Hhr with 153,000 miles on the odometer and we've owned the vehicle since it was new.

Wheel problem #4

The car completely shut down while driving, no noise no warning, could not steer, brake, roll windows down. This happened last year. Took to dealership. Said it was my alternator and charge me an extreme high charge to replace. Very scaredy when happened, for auto to cut off like that. Luckily I was driving about 30mpr an not on an interstate. Bought 2nd hand. Have not been happy with since. When bought did not receive key fan of, an the drivers door, will lock on its own, which left me baffled how to get into it with no other key holes on any other doors or especially the backend. I feel this is very troublesome for anyone, and a bad design feature. The airbag is questionable, and now the water pump has went out, and they say the manifold has to come off to get to and want to charge 750. 00 at a car repair to fix, but will check first to see if that's for sure where leaking. Then one tire has the thing that tells if my airs okay in the tire on my dashboard. It stays on cause it fell off in the tire. The whole darn thing is a nightmare to me, that I'm stuck with. From the motor an expense it is to have worked on to the poor expensive design that got on the market. It's a nightmare.

Wheel problem #5

Driving on a city street around 40 miles per hour when alarm sounds and I have no power steering. Very hard to turn drove home and it did it again today. . . . Also tire sensors alarm stating tires are deflated. . . When they are fine. .

Wheel problem #6

Vehicle while being taken through an automated car wash with me inside sitting behind the steering wheel, with the transmission in the neutral position, and both of my hands resting on my knee caps, with engine running the vehicle goes into reverse by itself. . The backup light are also turned on when this action occurs. This same action have happened three times at random during my last nine visits to the same automated car wash. None of the vehicles moving forward behind my vehicle have been damaged when this action occurs.

Wheel problem #7

Car started smelling gas inside when driving and have to open the window to get some fresh air. A clicking noise, too much noise from the front suspension when turning or driving. . L took the car for oil change and the dealer tech did not want to drive the car stating that it's safety issues. They said the lower control arms has been wear out and that the "sway bar"is shorter wearing my tires. In just this year l have change the 4 tires twice. Discount tires said they have not seen such a thing before the wearing occures in the inside part of the tires. . . The entire front suspension is collapsing. Gm need to issues a recall for these issues. . . . The dealer gave me a repair quote of almost $3000 . . . Gm need to take responsibility of all these issues and offer a credit or repurchased the car back. . . L have children that l transporter back and forth to school and to hospital. . . And need a safer car. . .

Wheel problem #8

When I buhgt this vehicle it was the left side shocked solver was loss unscrewed locky me I found the before anything happened in the hwy then I found unther the vehicle a big bump like this car was in a crash accident I explains the dealer sales man and he toll me to he don't know a bought it then one wheel was more big than the other wheels so I bought another tire I then start search the information on this car with no success even car max is no record of the vehicle I the continued driving the car and I find out this car was a car crash vehicle because I notice driver side was panel fix and for more to know this car is unsafely to drive when you go more that 50" miles in a rain the car easy derail and locky I be have not vehicle in my side it happen to me three time I call the dealership and ask to change me this vehicle is to danger to drive and there respond was sale the car and buy me another one that tell me the unresponsive they are no care if another family buy the car and then they can have a accident and even kill them salfe I toll him I can not sale a vehicle that is unsafe to any one so that's way I reported to you guys to put a stop to this dealer because I notice they have a big junk yard in the back of the dealership and that tell me that they fix junk cars and resales with unsafety esue and they need to be inspected to see they not risk family's out there and I want my money back and my expencess I put to this junk.

Wheel problem #9

At 107,000 miles four of the left front wheel studs failed. The vehicle was being driven at 25 mph and was brought to a stop without the wheel coming off the car. Due to the design of the oem hubcap it is impossible to tell when one or more lug nuts have failed. If this failure would have happened at high speed the results would have been catastrophic.

Wheel problem #10

In Feb 2015 I had to have the hub replaced, I also had new breaks put on. In Feb 2016 I had to have the hub replaced again. We are now in may 2016 my car is doing the same thing and I think I am going to have to have the hub replaced again. When I apply my brakes the whole car shakes and the steering wheel feels like it is going to come off, the brakes feel like they are grabbing and letting go.

Wheel problem #11

I was going 25 mph when I crashed causing over 5,000 dollars worth of auto and property damage in addition to the medical bills which I have not received in full yet. The car malfunctioned while I was driving and I was not able to control it. I received the recall information in the mail, but the car had not been repaired. Also, the airbags did not deploy when the crash happened. I suffered a concussion due to the accident. I was the only person injured.

Wheel problem #12

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Hhr. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 10 mph, the lug nuts fractured. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that both front rims where bent. The contact then took her vehicle to a private mechanic for a second opinion and they stated that both front tires where up to standard. The contact stated that the vehicle would not keep lug nuts on the tires for longer then a week and a half. The manufacturer was made aware of problem. The approximate failure mileage was 79,220. The VIN was not available.

Wheel problem #13

The ecm came on with no warning causing the vehicle to veer off the road to the right and skidding this happened three times in the past year which is scary at best also there is a smell of exhaust and fuel in the cabin.

Wheel problem #14

When I first bought the car was not able to test on hwy condition but it came with extended bumper to bumper warranty the first time got on freeway shake horrible while braking. Two months past had rotors turned new brakes put on by good year shop first time on freeway still shakes horrible. With ne rotors and pads will still shake this has been fully inspected twice and no problems. It just seems to me that are to many complaints about this issue not to have a TSB or recall its not fair to the consumer and its seems dangerous to have a shaking car while slowing down at 50 mph 40 mph. Current miles 50k.

Wheel problem #15

The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Hhr. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 mph on an icy and snowy road surface, the vehicle became difficult to steer as the entire instrument panel illuminated continuously. The vehicle was maneuvered to a parking lot where the contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the entire front drive train and both front inner chrome wheels were completely impacted with snow. The contact cleared off the snow from the affected areas and the vehicle resumed normally. The failure only occurred when the contact was driving on a road with snow of six inches or more. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The failure mileage was 87,000.

Wheel problem #16

I've been having problems with my right front end since I bought the car. When I cut the wheel hard to the right, it makes a loud thumping noise like something is going to pop off. It makes the most noise in a slow or parking movement. Then I take it in and they pump up the tires with air, and say there's nothing wrong with it. Then the air low light for the tires comes on. You fill it up, and then another one comes on. Then check the air bag pops ons. I've even experienced the car literally feeling like the motor idling real low to almost shut off. This has happened atleast 3 times. I was only doing about 25 miles an hour, but it was really cold outside. Everytime I have taken it for repair, they have said, we can't find anything wrong.

Wheel problem #17

All spokes on tire rim broke while vehicle was being driven. I have pictures if you would like to see, and also the tire rim.

Wheel problem #18

In our 2006 Chevrolet Hhr, the front right and left wheel bearing hub assemblies have failed at 57,000 miles. The symptom was a rumbling noise beginning at 40 mph to 45 mph. Wheel bearings are not designed to be a perishable item. In comparison, all four wheels still have the original brake pads that have not yet worn out. Without question, brake pads should wear out before wheel bearings. Since the vehicle was out of warranty I had a local repair shop replace the right front wheel bearing hub assembly that was the worst, and submitted a complaint to Chevrolet to see if they would assist in repairs on the left side. After paying for a dealer ($109) to diagnose what I already knew (as a requirement to start the investigation process) the verdict was a "worn out" wheel hub assembly. I have now been told that I do not qualify for any assistance from Chevrolet. It is my opinion that the failures are the result of either a serious design deficiency or manufacturing quality defect. Fortunately, the bearings did not fail catastrophically to cause a crash. I am concerned that what I have experienced may be a wide spread problem in the Hhr population.

Wheel problem #19

Engine light comes on and alongwith the traction light took it to dealership stated that spark plugs need to be replace also engine coil had all new spark plugs replace an all new engine coil problem still exit went on chevy site other owner seem to b'e have this problem another suggest was that the air filter maybe cause probl"em change that out got a code reader done on it nothing seem to show anything wrong however light still on for both problem what can be done to fix problem.

Wheel problem #20

Right front wheel bearing failure. Very dangerous.

Wheel problem #21

Tl- the contact owns a 2009 Chevrolet Hhr. The contact stated that while driving, she heard a loud rubbing sound near the front of the vehicle. The contact also stated that she went to put air in the tire and ended up putting 60 pounds of pressure because the tire pressure monitoring system read wrong. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection and they stated that the wheel bearing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 70,000. The VIN was unavailable. Ap.

Wheel problem #22

The contact owns a 2008 Chevrolet Hhr ss. The contact stated that all four rims on the vehicle are cracking next to the valve stem. The contact contacted the manufacturer and was told to take the vehicle to the dealer for inspection. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The failure mileage was 87,000.

Wheel problem #23

When braking to come to a stop the brakes/wheels shutter and shake violently.

Wheel problem #24

Whenever it rains the passenger side leaks from the counsel the carpet always gets soaked. . . A lot of people have this problem. . . Another known issue is the cam position sensor a lot of people have this problem now having issues with the bearings in my front wheels which seems to be another known issue others are having as well.

Wheel problem #25

Our 2008 chevy Hhr just starts to shake on the highway once it hits 60 mph to about 64 mph, then it goes away. The shaking is really bad it makes the whole car shake and my hands began to shake pretty hard on the steering wheel. We've replaced all the tires with brand new goodyear eagle gt and them balanced and wheel alignment was done. But the car still shakes at that speed.

Wheel problem #26

I own a 2009 Hhr ss. The truck was taken into service department a the dealership because of excessive noise from the front end of the truck. It was determined that three wheel stud bolts were sheared off the front driver side wheel. This could have caused a fatal accident of the truck had been driven at speed of a highway. To date there has been to because found other than a possible factory defect in the wheel stud bolts.
