Three problems related to brake electric antilock have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet K2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Low speed cycling of front abs system, or false activation.
While braking on dry pavement approaching a crosswalk the abs system chatters and allows the vehicle to roll ahead without warning. Complete failure has not occurred but twice I have come dangerously close to hitting a person in the crosswalk. Problem has not been repaired, but to avoid further occurence the fuse for abs has been pulled out resulting in conventional positive braking.
When applying brakes hard they do not work. Also, while applying brakes to stop vehicle they let go and will not hold.
