The cable on one side of my Chevrolet pickup gate broke causing the gate to fall onto the bumper. After purchasing a new pair of cables from the dealer I noticed that the gate was not properly aligned causing the weight of the gate to be placed all on one cable. I alerted the dealership to this problem which they looked at and suggested that I could make some adjustments to the tailgate to fix the problem. I tried to make an adjustment but could not get any movement in the tailgate so I am still driving with the problem.
