Two problems related to windshield wiper/washer motor have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet K3500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Windshield wiper motor seems to be defective. Sometimes it will work and other times it will not, resulting in a very potential hazard when driving. Know of 2 other people who have 1993-1997 GMC c/k pick-ups who have had their wiper motors replaced due to this identical defect.
Windshield wipers work intermittently . The dealer and manufacturer has been notified.
