The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet K3500. The contact stated they had to replace the interior door handle fifteen times and the passenger side handle twice. The contact stated the barrel where the spring mounted around the handle broke. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the entire door locking mechanism and door handle were replaced. The dealer stated that the part was fragile and would continue to break. The failure mileage was 35,000 and the current mileage was 161,000. Updated 5/9/11.
