Headlights problem #1

I took delivery of a new c4500 Kodiak 169" wheelbase with 0. 7 miles at monroe truck equipments flint location. It was dusk. Upon entering the highway, I noticed that the headlights were aimed only about 13 feet in front of the cab and that the lighting was very dim. I stopped at the first rest-area to find that the drivers headlight (sealed beam) was not functional. I was forced to complete my journey with the highbeams on. The vehicle was brand new. Upon replacing the headlight at my first opportunity, I noticed that the aiming mechanism, springs, were all severely corroded. The vehicle is now headed to the dealer to have the aiming of the lights rectified. It was very dangerous driving this vehicle in the night with this type of manufacturer defect. It should be noted that monroe truck equipment altered the suspension of the vehicle and should have included the headlight inspection/aiming in their pre-delivery checklist.
