Three problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1996 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Brakes continually failing to engage almost resulting in collision on several occasions.
When starting the vehicle a grinding noise comes when pressing the braking system at all times and the pedal, causing extended stopping distance which can cause an accident.
Experiencing noise, burning smell and brake fluid leak; causes jerking/locking feeling on occasion.
