Ignition problems of the 1997 Chevrolet Lumina

Three problems related to ignition have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Ignition problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2003

While driving and no no warning the vehicle will stall, and it will be hard for the consumer to control the vehicle. Dealer notified.

2 Ignition problem

Ignition system design allows for all the parking lights to illuminate when starting vehicle, possible drain of energy problem.

3 Ignition problem

While driving at highway speeds vehicle stalled out and died. Dealer inspecte vehicle and determined that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced.
