Windshield Wiper/washer Motor problems of the 1997 Chevrolet Lumina

When driving during a rain storm windshield wipers failed. Took vehicle to dealership, and mechanic stated windshield wiper motor malfunctioned, and needed to be repaired.

Windshield wipers failed to work, started again, failed to work, etc. . . . During a drive in the rain in the middle of heavy commuter traffic. Fortunately I was able to navigate across several lanes of traffic and pull over without an accident.

Circuit boards failed. As a result, windshield wipers became inoperative.

Consumer complained about windshield wiper motor problem. While driving in rainstorm windshield wiper motor failed. Consumer had to wait until the rain stopped before getting help. This occurred on two occasions. A recall was issued. However, this vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN.
