Three problems related to air bag light on have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Air bag light illuminated intermittently. Eventually the air bag light remained illuminated.
While driving the air bag light illuminated. The dealer later determined that the irs (inflatable restraint sensor) and sir coil failed.
Intermittently air bag light stays illuminated when driving. Consumer had it checked. Dealer stated it would be an expensive repair. Dealer hasn't taken it back to have it fixed.
