Two problems related to trunk lid have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Trunk spring weak, lid falls. Spring can be adjusted, but is very difficult and potentialy dangerous if spring slips while tightning it.
Trunk lid falls unexpectedly when opening causing lid to fall on consumer.
