One problem related to alternator/generator/regulator has been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Lumina. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle will die in middle of the freeway with no prior warning. This makes it very easy to have a terrible accident. Took to dealer, and they replaced alternator. Consumer listed that there was a crash and property damage, however did not give any specifics about the accident, there was one person that was injured in the accident.
