Three problems related to suspension noise have been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Malibu. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Front and rear suspension make loud squeaky noises. The noise is consistant while driving over rough and bumpy roads. Dealer confirms that suspension is bad. Dealer was notified.
Repairs to vehicle started 6-29-98 and continue to present. Dealership service dept. Can repair rear suspension per gm tech. Notes but problem noise in rear suspension reoccurs within 50-300 miles. Gm has stated that they will repair vehcile under original warranty agreement, but after 10 repairs I feel this is a defect in the vehicle and not just the parts.
Possibly due to poor suspension vehicle makes noise while driving over rough roads. Yh.
