One problem related to turn signal switch has been reported for the 1998 Chevrolet Malibu. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
My turn signal works sometimes and sometimes it does not. I notice especially in cold temperatures outside it does not work for a long time until the car warms up. I try and try to use the turn signal to alert other drivers, but it is impossible. It just works when it wants to, I cannot predict if it will work or not. The bulbs are not blown, it is the turn signal lever switch when trying to use it you may or may not get a response, therefore I can't alert other drivers and cyclist that I want to turn.
