1 Anti-theft Devices problem

Failure Date: 08/24/2011

My 1999 Chevrolet Malibu takes 10 minutes to start after the anti-theft light starts blinking when I try to start my car. Sometimes it takes 2 tries to get the car started(20min). It occurs randomly, but frequently. It has occured 7 times in the last 3 days. It makes me late for work, even when I plan ahead to leave early, and makes me feel very unsafe. I have not replaced anything, as online research has shown me the problem is expensive and will return eventually, even after being fixed. Please hold gm responsible for this error on their part.
