Two problems related to fuel pump have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Malibu. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Car loses power while driving in traffic and upon accelerating from a complete stop. Happens as soon as car warms to normal temperature. I have so far replaced the fuel filter, did a full tune up and now a fuel pump.
While driving the vehicle stalled every 5 seconds. The vehicle was taken to the dealership, and a diagnostic test was performed that read fuel pump failure. The fuel pump was replaced.
